Takashi Murakami’s titled “Ego” exhibition that opened at Al Riwaq Exhibition. The “Ego” exhibition marks the artist’s inaugural exhibition within the Middle East. Showcasing more than 60 works, it is the single largest display of Murakami’s artwork spanning a range of his work from 1997 to present.

One of the most notable displays arrives in the form of a massive self-reflective blowup version of Murakami himself filling a 7,500-square-foot space at the gallery. “Ego” finishes off a trilogy of recent exhibitions following on the heels of a stint at Los Angeles’s Museum of Contemporary Art as well as at the Château De Versailles.

Ahmed and Rashid were commissioned to produce the book for the exhibition. The book was bound in Japanese traditional binding technique and used as the catalogue for the show's opening.
